Canvas Accessibility Tools

Canvas provides several resources to aid instructors and instructional designers including this helpful Canvas Course Accessibility Checklist and the Accessibility Checker embedded within the Rich Content Editor. I would recommend reading the Canvas Course Accessibility Checklist first to get an overview of accessibility guidelines.

The Accessibility Checker will review your course content against predefined accessibility criteria and provide assistance and prompts to resolve each issue. This is a standard option with no additional add-ons or plug-ins required.

Canvas conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level A/AA and Section 508 standards.
